Using Microsoft Teams, you may share your screen with others.

1. Launch the Microsoft Teams app and, if asked, sign in to participate in a meeting.
2. Select the "Share material" option from the drop-down menu that appears next to the red "Leave" button.
3. A menu will display at the bottom of your screen in the lower half of your screen. There are various buttons to choose from in the menu. You may then choose the one that best symbolizes what you want to share with others.

In this menu, you can choose to display your computer's desktop, a specific window that is currently open on your desktop, a PowerPoint presentation you have created, or a file that is currently saved on your computer. You can also choose to display a file currently saved on your computer by selecting "Browse." Another choice is the "Microsoft Whiteboard," which functions similarly to an on-screen whiteboard or chalkboard. There are a handful of more possibilities as well. "Desktop" has been chosen as the operating system for this tutorial.

4. The material you choose will be shared on your screen as soon as it is shown. A red border will surround the material being shared on most devices. There will be a ribbon at the top of your screen that will display a few different options for you. Alternatively, you may choose "Give control" to enable another participant to take over control of your screen during the meeting. The button just to the right of "Give control" may be used to turn off your computer's screen. Stop sharing your screen; choose "Stop Presenting" from the menu bar.

5. You may still stop sharing your screen if the ribbon indicated in the preceding step vanishes at any point throughout the process. Simply clicking on the Microsoft Teams app will launch a new window in the lower right-hand corner of your computer screen. In this window, choose the icon of a square with an X partly encircling it by clicking on it. This will bring your screen sharing to a close. When participating in a meeting in Microsoft Teams, you may want to share your screen with a colleague. This might be beneficial since it will allow them to view the content of the software or app you are now using and discussing.

To begin using screen sharing in Teams, you'll want to move your cursor to the bottom-middle of the screen and choose the chat control options from the drop-down menu. It would help if you kept in mind that screen sharing is presently only available on Mac OS and Windows 10 and that the capability is not yet available on Linux.

You'll notice a symbol with a square box and an arrow when you get to that point. It's the third symbol on the left-hand side of the screen. To begin your screen-sharing session, click on the Share button on the toolbar. You'll then be presented with dialogue, from which you may choose one of your screens or desktops, as well as a window or application, to share. Select the one that best meets your requirements. You may also use your system audio to play a video or audio clip as part of a presentation if that is what is necessary. This may be accomplished by selecting the Include system audio checkbox.

Best Way to Share Screen

Remember that your complete screen will be visible during screen sharing, and the shared area will be denoted by a red outline on your computer's screen. Simply selecting the option to share a program alone may be sufficient for your purposes since those participating in the call will only be exposed to the program of your choosing in this instance. A grey box will represent everything else outside of the program. You may stop sharing by clicking the Stop Sharing symbol in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen after you've finished your work on it.

You'll also notice an option for using a Microsoft Whiteboard during your Teams meeting, which will help you be more productive. When you and your colleagues are at a meeting, this will allow you to collaborate on taking notes or making drawings in a shared environment. It's very wonderful, particularly since everyone can work on it simultaneously.
